Brokk 330 with Steel Shears Removes Factory Roof Pipework

Extended reach and powerful cutting forces eliminated the need for scaffolding towers — enabling safe, remote operation, and quick removal of the pipework.

Atlas Copco hydraulic shear attachments are a fast, controlled way to cut and crop steel girders, pipework, conduit and structural sections. Mounted on a Brokk arm with hydraulic flow tuned to the shear's spec, they produce a clean cut with no spark, no flame, and no thermal damage to surrounding material — which matters when the structure being cut sits next to other plant that has to stay in place.

Working at height inside a factory roof void traditionally means scaffold towers, MEWPs, or rope-access teams. Deploying a Brokk with extended arm reach often eliminates that requirement entirely — the operator stays at floor level, the machine reaches up to the work, and the cuts are made remotely. Programme savings come from the avoided scaffold mobilisation as much as from the cutting speed itself.
